Product EOL

Shenzhen Kosky Technology Co., Ltd, hereinafter called Kosky, reserves the rights of updating it’s new products, technology, invention, relevant services and at the same time discontinuing the End-of-Life products. For product EOL management Kosky has unified rules and process so as to reduce the market and partner’s influence into minimum. This document is for further understanding of Kosky EOL policy and valid for all Kosky released or developed products.

The detail of EOL policy is as below:

  • Kosky will notify its relative business partners at least one and half month in advance if the products will be discontinued EOL. Kosky will release the official documents on website for convenient and easy checking, which also include the replaced new product or alternatives.
  • Kosky will provide the compensated maintenance and continual firmware service of the EOL product for up to half a year after the discontinuation date. After that Kosky will regularly release the new firmware on its official website.
  • Kosky will provide pay-needed technical support of the EOL product for up to one year after the discontinuation date. The service items are the followings:

    a. Assistant of the installation and use of products and of remote fault diagnosis.
    b. Present support for product installing, debugging, replacement, troubleshooting and firmware updating.
    c. Other services signed in the contract with Kosky.

  • Kosky will provide hardware maintenance and spare parts replacement according to the signed contract within 2 years after the EOL date. For products within warranty Kosky will provide spare parts and the customer service. If some spare parts are out of stock or EOL in market Kosky will provide alternatives. (Customers should make up the price difference of the new products.)
  • Kosky will not provide any maintenance and support for the EOL product after two years from its EOL date. However for better service of customers Kosky will try best to provide customized services in require from some customers, in which case, a specific maintenance contract after negotiation will be required. 
  • Meanwhile Kosky will observe all service contracts signed with its customers, and if any content in the contracts is in conflict with any item mentioned above, Kosky will stand on the contracts for relative service of high quality.
